X-Med Aqua Dress 

Aqua Dress adhesive gauze pads from X-Med offer high absorbency and low adherent to the wound. Are waterproof and specially designed to protect wounds from germs and water penetration, while allowing its ventilation.

Sterile and made of flexible material for better protection, greater comfort and perfect fit. The dressing consists of a pad placed centrally on different backing materials coated with hypoallergenic adhesive, to allow fixation without secondary dressing.

The adhesive surface is made of polyurethane, a transparent backing material which is breathable, virus-proof, bacteria-proof and waterproof.

HOW TO USE:

• Step 1: Open the pouch using aseptic technique.
• Step 2: Hold the dressing at either side of the wave cut and stretch the support paper to loosen the wave cut.
• Step 3: Remove the larger flap of the liner to expose the adhesive surface.
• Step 4: Place the dressing on the wound and then remove the smaller flap of the liner
• Step 5:  In case of film dressing, slowly remove the upper support paper while smoothing down transparent film dressing edges.

Intended purpose: Primary dressing indicated for low to moderate exuding wounds such as minor cuts, abrasions, lacerations and puncture sites. Additionally, it can be used post-operatively to protect surgical wounds and incisions.

Contraindications: There are no absolute contraindications however it is advisable not to use on patients with known sensitivity to the product or any of its components.

Precautions:

• Reuse of the product increases risk of infection or cross-contamination.
• Dispose as a contaminated waste.
• The dressing should not be used with highly exuding wounds as it may cause tissue maceration.
• The dressing should not be used on patients with known sensitivity to acrylic adhesive.
• The dressing should not be used on deep open wounds and third-degree burns.
• It can be applied on infected wounds only under medical supervision.
• The skin should be clear and dry before application to ensure good adhesion.
